In our school, students prepare occasional ceremonies concerning customs and national holidays.

On 10^th November 2010, we celebrated in our school the 92 anniversary of independence. For this occasion, the students prepared a performance. The colleagues approached us the story of Polish history in an easy and accessible for today's youth way (as a TV broadcast). While listening to the songs from that period, performed by classmates from Year 1, we could stop for a moment and think about those who died for our country.

 National Education Day

On 14^th October 2010, students prepared a solemn academy on the occasion of the National Education Day. The scenes from the school life were shown in a funny way. After the artistic part of the meeting there were wishes and flowers for the employees. The Headmaster thanked the teachers and school staff, and congratulated those who were awarded this year. After the ceremony, the long weekend began for us.

On 1^st September 2010, there was a ceremonial, district inauguration of the school year 2010/2011 in  ZSP in Sompolno. The Headmaster Jacek Żerkowski greeted all the guests from our district, representatives of the local authorities, the priest, media, teachers and students of our school, gathered in the hall.  To celebrate the 71^st  anniversary of the outbreak of the World War II  the students prepared a short appeal then a new staircase and lift were given to the use. The ceremony ended with the opening and blessing the new playing fields with artificial turf. After that there was a match: Konin City District against representatives of ZSP Sompolno.

Meeting - Malta 2010

   From 26^th to 30^th April 2010, a group of 4  teachers and 4 students participated in the second partners’ meeting, which took place in Santa Lucia, in Malta.

  In our school like in many other European schools we have a custom of giving Valentine’s gifts which are an expression of sympathy, kindness and also a way of showing love.
Confessions of love and love songs filled the contents, which we heard taking part in the Valentine’s meeting, prepared by students participating in the Comenius project.
Thanks to the post office which was running on that day at school, everyone could send previously prepared Valentine’s cards

  On 13^th October 2009, during the solemn ceremony connecting with the occasion of the National Education Day, the vice-head of Konin administrative unit Małgorzata Waszak has made an official unveiling of the Commenius project logo ‘Magic Window’ and  inaugurated its beginning.

   From 3^rd to 6^th November 2009, a group of 3  teachers and 4 students participated in the first partners’ meeting, which took place in Selingenstadt, in Germany.

Independence Day

   On 10^th November 2009, there was the ceremony, which was devoted to the anniversary of celebrating the Independence Day. It is the holiday established to commemorate the anniversary of the revival of the Polish nation independent statehood in 1918, after 123 years of partitions made by Austria, Prussia and Russia.

  Each year in our country, the night from 29^th to 30^th November is the time of magic and enchantments. It is a popular folklore custom and students organize so called ‘Andrzejki’ on that day.
